1、 基于树状大分子的纳米医学:
a. 有机/无机纳米复合材料的合成及其在肿瘤分子影像诊断(CT和MRI)中的应用;
b. 纳米药物输送体系的制备与抗肿瘤效果评价;
c. 有机/无机杂化纳米颗粒用于基因传递的研究。
2、静电纺纳米纤维材料在生物医学与环境科学中的应用。

到目前为止,申请人共发表或接收了60余篇论文,2篇书的章节,并申请了8项中国发明专利(其中四项已授权)。其中SCI收录论文45篇,发表在Prog. Polym. Sci., Biomaterials,Biomacromolecules,Soft Matter,Nanoscale,J. Phys. Chem. C, Biopolymers, Polymer Chemistry,Current Nanoscience等期刊上, 影响因子最高22.87,3.0以上28篇,6.0以上7篇。获2000年中国高校科学技术奖一等奖(10人排名第7)、2001年国家自然科学奖二等奖(5人排名第4)和2010年高校科学研究优秀成果奖自然科学奖一等奖(12人排名第10)。
